Guinevere from Fire Emblem: The Sword of Seals. Or Binding Blade, whatever you crazy kids are calling it these days.

Out of the many princesses in the Fire Emblem series, most of whom go on epic quests to forcefully claim the wrongfully taken thrones of their countries - or just hire some valiant warriors to do it for them instead - Guinevere is my favorite. She's super pretty, for one thing. And she's a bit more appealing to me in that, unlike just about every other princess figure in the recent FE's (I don't know about 1-5 since I haven't played them), she doesn't really end the game all happy peachy when she gets her throne. I mean she wins the war and all, but she basically ends up in charge of a country that just got owned hard and which, for the most part, pretty much hates her guts.

So Guinevere's got it tough. But she still stays gutsy in spite of it all (though not enough to actually fight for you in your army har har har. Which is a pity since her stats are pretty awesome).

In retrospect I see that her face is like...hideously malformed here. I've fixed it since then, though! I SWEAR.

Hm...She's from the 6th game right? o_o;;; though I thought that one didn't come out here...unless you play the japanese version? XD

It didn't come out here, no. I borrowed a Japanese import from my friend last year (and still haven't returned it. Ah ha ha, whoops). It's been fan-translated and put up online in a lot of places, though, with a really rockin' translation to boot, so it's not that hard to find.

Yay Guinivere! I liked her myself, as well as her child!version. I really like the detail on the ends of her cloak thing-they add a nice touch. And the castle background too yo!

I always thought love was shaped like a heart,
But its actually shaped like a cross!
Seriously, her official art does her no justice. Her sprites look so much better.

Good menlancholic expression. Nice pose, too.

Tot Guinevere is just adorable. Very different from her adult self in terms of demeanor, though; poor kid.

The castle BG was a really spur-of-the-moment thing - originally it was just going to be plain brown with a white square somewhere behind her head (I have absolutely no sense of design). But my college interview guy told me about how I should try to put a real background in everything, even if it's a really simple one, so I ended up throwing that together. It took way longer than it should have, haha.

Yay for Guinevere! It's kind of tragic, her family history as seen in 6 and 7...

I love the coloring on the face! That turned out especially well, I'd say. The eyes and cheeks especially! ^^ Quite the thick outline, too, but that's part of your style and adds to the overall awesomeness, but it does stick out.

Love it! ^^
